Crockpot Beef and Gravy - A Bountiful Love

Crockpot Beef and Gravy

Here's another frugal, budget-friendly recipe that will cost you less than $10. We are a family of four, and we had leftovers! I served the crockpot beef and gravy with pasta and broccoli, and the following day, I served it with rice for lunch. I shopped at Aldi, here's the breakdown:

Ground beef $5

Gravy $.50

Condensed Soup .79

Pasta $1

Frozen Broccoli $1.10

Soup Onion Mix $1

TOTAL: $9.39

$2.35 per serving (family of four)

Ingredients:

  • Seasonings: Onion soup mix and brown gravy mix
  •  Condensed mushroom soup plus water (1/2 to 1 cup)
  •  Ground Beef (less fat)
  •  ½ cup water or broth
  •  Egg noodles or pasta

Directions:

Place the beef in the crockpot and add the condensed mushroom soup, water, and seasonings. This picture may not look appetizing, but trust it tastes really good! Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours. For Instant Pot, I cooked it on high pressure for 10 mins, natural release.

Serve with egg noodles or any pasta, such as bow tie or penne.

 SIDES: Veggies of your choice.

To prepare this recipe as a freezer meal, add all ingredients to a freezer Ziploc bag. Don't forget to label. Grab the recipe card at the bottom of this post so you can also use it as a label for your Ziploc.
