Crockpot Chicken Teriyaki - A Bountiful Love

Crockpot Chicken Teriyaki

If you search Chicken recipes for crockpot, teriyaki chicken will probably the first recipe that you will find right away. For obvious reasons, this chicken teriyaki is so easy to make and very budget-friendly. I shopped at Aldi and here are the price breakdown:

Boneless Chicken Thighs $8

Frozen Broccoli $1.15

Teriyaki Sauce $2.79 (if you have the staple you can make the homemade sauce)

Brown sugar and seasonings- I already have this in my pantry.

TOTAL: $11.94

We are a family of four: $2.98 per serving

Ingredients:

Seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Teriyaki Sauce, 1 cup
Brown Sugar ⅓ cup or Coconut Sugar ⅓ cup
Chicken Breast or Boneless Chicken Thighs (I used one package)

Directions:

Mix all the seasonings, sugar, and sauce. Place the chicken in the crockpot and pour the seasoned sauce over it. Cook on low 6-8 hrs or high 4-5 hrs. For Instant Pot, cook on high pressure for 12 minutes.

Serve with Jasmine rice. If you have sesame seeds, sprinkle the sesame seeds on top of the chicken.

SIDES: Steamed Broccoli or any steamed or roasted veggies.

We love the sauce on top of the steamed rice. If preparing as a freezer meal: label your freezer bags, put all the ingredients inside the freezer bag (except for the rice) Cook Jasmine rice on your cooking day. You can grab the recipe card below and use it as a label too.
