Big sister is turning 4 soon and next year she will be in Pre K . I am excited for her, new friends. A little bittersweet because I'm gonna miss this dynamite girl even if it is just for a short period of time. I've never been away from her EXCEPT when I gave birth with jumping bean. I am gonna let our baby spread her wings really really soon.

Meanwhile , we do a Letter of the Week lesson type here at home . We love to make crafts too. Having a place for everything is very challenging because we have a limited space . Having a good organized School/ Study materials will keep us sane.

We used the Closet Maid Pantry Cabinet ( Alder). It was on sale at Target , it's always a good day when you find the item you need on sale.

Here's whats at the very top..

First shelf..

Love this Spot it Alphabet All in one for preschoolers, they learn and play at the same time. It helps to develop their visual perception skills and fine motor as well.

The 2nd shelf

** This binder ( as shown above) is for Lucy's  collection of printables from several websites. Where she can practice her tracing ( lines and alphabets). Instead of laminating the sheets , I used Avery sheet protectors  and dry erase markers so we can use it over and over again.

The 3rd Shelf

You know those times where you wanted to do something with your child but you are too lazy to come up with something? That's where flash cards comes in very handy for me. I can just sit my lazy tush in the couch and still spend time and teach them at the same time. Stickers ..gotta have that for rewards!!

I Love this as well ( Caddy) , it keeps all these writing and coloring materials in one place. I just sometimes leave it in our dining when momma needs to stay busy.

The  4th and last shelf

Did I tell you that they love puzzles? Specially Lucy. Her facial expression right after putting the puzzle together..IS JUST PRICELESS.

Don't forget to pin and share!

  1. I am so inspired looking at this. I need to go to The store now!!!

    1. Hi Rosalind! Thank you for stopping by ..Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. I found your post at Wholehearted Wednesday. We homeschool our 3 children and our school supplies seem to have taken over most of the house :) I'm constantly trying to find better ways to organize it all, but so far it's still a work in progress! Thank you for sharing your organization!

    1. Hi Missy .. First of all..I admire moms like you! You are right , everyday is a battle and a work in progress. Organizing is not a one time deal I think, everyday is a different day and a different crazy. Your welcome and i'll make sure to visit your blog.. Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. I remember getting our school closet all organized and tidied up...but eventually it had to be done all over again :-) I enjoyed this post so much. Beautiful closet...and you make me want to organize my closets even though my children have grown out of glue, scissors, crayons, and all other school supplies. Sigh. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi Judith! Thank you for stopping by :) you are definitely right, it is an ongoing battle. I sometimes have to remind myself ( when I am organizing repeatedly) that we are blessed to have these.

  4. This is great! I homeschool my 3 girls (7, 6, & 3) and it works best for me to have several open bookcases (as opposed to putting materials into a closet or cabinet). It keeps me accountable to the family to make sure things stay tidy and organized, because I can't hide the mess! But the girls do have an Art Cart with drawers & shelves that I try hard to keep ordered, with all of their craft supplies. I like how you make use of the baskets/magazine holders to contain different materials!

I found you through WholeHearted Wednesdays, and I'm glad I did :) Blessings to you!

    1. Hi Lisha, I admire you! I live in California , I really don't know the in and outs of homeschooling. I am thinking about homeschooling our eldest ( preschool ). I am praying about it because really..we are weighing all the options and benefits of both homeschooling and "regular" school.

Someday, I'll have the courage to do open shelves..we have a 20 month old girl..very active. So for now, hiding it saves my sanity.

thank you for stopping by! I really do appreciate it.

God bless you and your family.
