12 Days of Christmas yummies and treats : Peppermint Candy Hearts

Are you all ready and decorated for Christmas ? We just picked up a tree last Sunday and Big sister asked me where are all the gifts. Confused, I asked her why. Well our sweet pea thought that the tree comes automatically with gifts. Just too cute and funny . Wouldn't it be nice though?  I am so bad with last minute shopping sometimes. Every year , I want to get my gift shopping done before December 1. But I always end up buying a few more...few days before Christmas. I just love strolling and looking at all the goodies that you only see during Christmas time.

For day one of 12 days of Christmas yummies and treats , I made this super easy sweet treat. No bake and can be done in less than an hour. If you know me , I am always about keeping things simple in the kitchen!

Ingredients:

32 small peppermint candy canes , unwrapped.
1 1/2 - 2 cups vanilla flavored candy melts , use whatever color you want :) ( Can use almond bark)
sprinkles

Directions:

Line cookie sheet with parchment paper , arrange candy canes in groups of two ( like a heart shape).

Microwave the candy melts in 30 seconds interval , mix halfway through melting. It should be smooth.

Pipe the melted candy coating into the center of the hearts , fill all spaces.

Sprinkle away :)

Let it cool for about 30 minutes. or 10 minutes when place in the fridge.

isn't it easy?

I would love to connect with you!
