Kid-Friendly Halloween Movies - A Bountiful Love

Kid-Friendly Halloween Movies

I love family movie nights! We live in a small town and every year when our girls were between 2 to 7 years old, we do our trick or treating at Downtown Redlands. When they turned 8 and older, we started doing a neighborhood trick or treat. Every single year is a blast! I love seeing the Halloween decorations and creativity between the houses. I also enjoy people watching, their costumes, and their outstanding resourcefulness.

Halloween Movie Night Treats and Desserts

This year will look a little different. While there will be no physically crowded trick or treating, I just don't think that I can call it canceled. Halloween is not canceled in my humble opinion.  Fun and ingenuity will not be canceled, only if you let it be. All you have to do is to think outside the box and choose to see the upside of it all. Some cities are hosting a drive-through Halloween with exhibits and candies, some are paid and some are free! As for my family, we will be meeting up with a very small group of friends to enjoy a few games and snacks together. In the late afternoon, we will take advantage of the free Halloween drive-through hosted by a local church. In the evening..our family will have a fun and memorable movie night with good food plus exciting games!

My girls haven't watched a whole lot of Halloween movies so I thought this is a great opportunity to watch a movie (or 3 movies- late nights are ok on Halloween for us) that my husband and I grew up watching during Halloween. I will be printing movie tickets and will serve popcorn along with candies! I plan on decorating our table buffet style as well because the movie night will be around dinner time. I'm thinking of serving healthy food charcuterie style since I am sure that there will be no shortage of sweets and treats on that day.

Let's talk FREE PRINTABLES! I am sharing a free movie ticket printable and a "now showing" printable. I will give my girls choices on what movies to watch, up to 3 depending on their energy. Since Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, late nights are okay with us! Speaking of movies, I am sharing 20 family-friendly (kid-approved) shows with age recommendations. I have used Common Sense Media to check the age recommendation so feel free to check it as well.
