What's In the Bible ? Review and Giveaway

 ----------> GIVEAWAY ENDED <---------

Are you all familiar with Veggietales? Our girls absolutely love watching them. If you are not, let me quickly tell you what it is about. Aside from the colorful , funny and adorable vegetables and fruits cast of this series, veggietales is Bible based, it retells Bible stories and convey moral stories. It retells in such a way that a young mind can comprehend.

I can't even begin to tell you how many veggietales DVD, our girls have. First of all , they are not outrageously priced, second they constantly go on sale. Think about $5.  Our girls were even excited when netflix started having the series of Veggietales In the House. WE had included veggietales in our Preschool Letter of the Week : Vv and they watched Veggie Tales: Esther, The Girl Who Became Queen DVD for our Preschool Letter of the Week : Ee.

When Lucy turned 3 , well..guess what I made for her... a Veggietales Inspired Cake

Phil Vischer the creator of Veggietales has done another Bible base DVD series.. He is such an intelligent trailblazer!

This new Bible series , is called What's In the Bible?

As a parent, we wanted to give a good and strong Christian foundation to our kids . Of course it doesn't stop with their Sunday school or Sunday church attendance. We wanted them to get to know God more. His words and His promises. The Bible can be intimidating for young minds, and truth be told I was really impressed with how informative it was for all of us. We have learned a lot too just by watching this DVD.

The  videos are filled with colorful and funny puppet characters such as Ian and Clive ( the explorers), Captain Pete , Buck Denver ( the news anchor) and the Sunday School teacher, my personal favorite.

Our 3 yr old laughed  a whole lot ( I enjoyed watching her face  ) , Honestly I wasn't sure if Lily would actually sit down and watch it. 3 year old's are notoriously  known for not being able to sit still.  Both of our girls enjoyed and love the songs and I must say, I did laugh at the silly jokes. I appreciate that learning the Bible through this DVD, is not too "heavy" for young kids and older children.  What I really loved about the video was that, it gave a background on the Bible.  It discussed the -- what is a Bible , who wrote it and when? It was fast paced BUT informative and it was laid out in such a way that it will keep the kids attention.  Our girls started reading the Beginners Bible, and we had not yet actually told the story behind the Bible. So this is a good start.

A scientific view of what is the Bible and about how the Earth was made was briefly mentioned, and honestly I did appreciated that two views are presented. As a Sunday School Teacher myself, I had the giggles when the Sunday School Teacher puppet said “Never send a scientist to do a Sunday School teacher’s job.”   But really, it is about God's promises.

 I am excited about this series and I would recommend it in every household . It will help young minds understand the whole Bible in a very entertaining and informative way. Also , would be terrific for VBS!

So.. I am happy to be able to offer a FREE copy of Volume 1 of Buck Denver asks.. What's in the Bible ( In the Beginning : Genesis) to one of my sweet readers. How awesome is that!!!
