Instant Pot Ham and Bean Soup - A Bountiful Love

Instant Pot Ham and Bean Soup

Here's a delicious way to use up your leftover ham bones! Perfect after Easter and Christmas. So do not throw those ham bone sway. Pair it with Homemade Bread or Pao De Queijo.

 Ingredients:

1 tbsp olive oil

1 medium onion, chopped

4-5 large garlic cloves, minced

3 stalks of celery, chopped

14 oz white beans (sorted, rinsed, unsoaked)

2 bay leaves

1 tsp salt or seasoned salt

1 tsp black pepper

Leftover ham bone and diced ham pieces

5-6 cups of water

Directions:

Use the saute button of your instant pot. Saute veggies for about 5 minutes.

Add the ham pieces, beans, garlic, salt or seasoned salt, pepper, and bay leaves. Stir and add the ham bones. Pour the water. The amount of water will depend on the size of your ham bone. I just make sure that my ham bone is submerged in the water. You can always add more water if your soup is a bit too thick.

Pressure cook for 60 minutes on high.
