I love the KSGN radio station. If you are not familiar with KSGN, it is a Christian radio station. It plays well-loved Christian music, inspirational stories, wholesome jokes, and soul-lifting Bible verses. Their ads are carefully selected as well as the resources or promotions they offer. In short, in a world where there is an abundance of inappropriate and explicit songs as well as bad news, KSGN should be your radio station. You will never know how much a radio station can change the trajectory of your day, even your life.
Pureflix has a new sitcom, Live+Local (Live and Local). If you ever wonder what takes place in a radio station or just ever imagine how they work because we only hear their voices...Live+Local will definitely fill that curiosity of yours. This mockumentary may be odd to watch at first...I did find it odd at first because it was different from all the sitcoms that I am used to watching but stay on it as it is relatable and comical too! Every workplace would have different personalities and varying levels of talents, this can be an asset and can be a source of conflict too! You would think that a workplace that is meant to serve Jesus and the community will not have its flaws. Actually, that is far from the truth. Conflicts happen for a reason, for growth, and spiritual maturity, This is the theme that I got from previous episodes.
Live+Local is about TnT (Tommy and Tina) In The Morning, the highest-rated local radio program – but Tommy and Tina have to navigate the ups and downs of the radio industry while trying to trust their new program director, Jerry. You have to watch what happens when a veteran radio talk show host and his cohost have to navigate the ups and downs of the radio world when their new program director takes over. Change can be good for every organization, but conflict or competition can coexist with it even if it is a Christ-centered organization.
On episode 7, there is a new slogan and image for KHUGG – “Totally Inoffensive,” “Uplifting Positivity.” The ratings are down therefore decreasing the numbers of their advertisers. While there are new sponsors, it also came with competing interests - two feuding brothers who own different car dealerships. This situation positions Tommy and Tina against each other. Tommy is resistant to social media. Jerry works to create a divide between Tommy and Tina. Their special guest for this episode was Colton Dixon!
