Few things to consider:
- This recipe uses an Instant Pot. While it can be expensive, it will be a great investment in your kitchen. My instant pot had saved me time and money. I had made bulk pantry staple items such as beans and batch-cooked eggs as well as meals.
- I live in the Inland Empire (Southern California). Prices in my area will be different from where you live. I know that Socal is a bit pricier than other states.
- This recipe uses a packet of brown gravy. I bought the low-sodium brown gravy for .30 cents from Aldi.
- I got my ground Turkey from Aldi for $2.29
- My broccoli was from Aldi. .99cents /lb
Ingredients:
1-2 heads of broccoli, chop to desired size (my children will not eat big chunks of broccoli)
1 lb of ground turkey or ground beef
1 packet of low-sodium brown gravy
1 cup water to make the gravy
Directions:
Using the saute option of your IP, brown the ground turkey or beef and drain excess fat. Make the brown gravy sauce following the instructions at the back of the package (mixing the gravy powder into a cup of water).
Bring the meat back to your IP and turn it back on again on the saute option. Pour the gravy and mix until it slightly thickens.
Mix in the broccoli and cook manually for 2 minutes. I did a quick release to prevent the broccoli from turning into mush.
Serve over brown rice or white rice.

This looks amazing! My mother in law got an instant pot and I've been thinking I might need to try one myself. So many great recipes for them!
