Giveaway : Where Jesus Slept? - A Bountiful Love

Giveaway : Where Jesus Slept?

Just like how we love to collect precious and cute Christmas ornaments, we do love to read and collect copies of great Christmas books. Couple of years ago, we wrapped several books for our kids because they got so excited  opening presents. To keep our little munchkins from unwrapping presents we decided to wrap books that they get to read that night. It was truly a fun experience and I plan on doing it again!

Here's a cute and awesome book for Christmas! Graphics and illustrations are colorful and engaging. The repetitive nature of the book makes it easier for young kids to learn new words! I did a question and answer portion while reading the book and they got so excited to say the answer. I asked questions like " So where did Jesus sleep again?" " Who is Jesus's mother ?" and "What do you call the person who takes care of the lamb" ?

It also became a teaching moment for me. I told the girls how great our Lord is! For sending us a wonderful gift, Jesus. How humble is Jesus, our King to sleep in a stable! He is the One true King and yet he was born in the most humble way. They also asked about the gift the three Kings offered baby Jesus. There is a lot of point of discussions in the book. It is not about Santa Claus, the book delivered the message of what Christmas is about in a simple way. Scriptures are provided too and I appreciate that part too!

 About the book:

“This is the bed where Jesus slept. This is the straw that lined the bed where Jesus slept.” From here, the story builds with each spread, adding a new element and explaining the relationships among the participants and witnesses to the first Christmas. From Jesus sleeping sweetly to the wise men bringing gifts, this charming book reminds readers young and not-so-young of the joyous event we celebrate at Christmastime. Children will love the delightful illustrations and the engaging repetition in this cumulative tale.
