Can I be honest here? I do love when our kids get books and educational subscriptions . Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all kinds of gifts that we are blessed with. BUT , if I were to make my own wish list for them..it will be those two. Besides, my husband is here to remind me that I don't always have to overthink the purpose of a toy. If it made the kid happy, it served its purpose. I guess I am just careful about not giving too much emphasis on commercialized Christmas.

There was a Christmas where I was so overwhelmed with the "stuff" they got. I am grateful for all the people who poured love into our girls but it came to a point where not all of the stuff was appreciated. And we are not going to be the parent who dictates relatives and friends as to what they should gift to our girls. So we decided to take the action inside our family. We keep our gifts to these categories : something they need, something they want , something from Santa, something from each other, something to read and a toy to give away.

This Christmas Love Letters from God should be under your tree. It is important for little kids to know the story of Christmas and the reason why we celebrate it. It is geared towards 4 to 8 years old but younger kids can enjoy this book too.  The book has 7 Bible stories , for younger kids read one story a day to them.
