Wise Guys - Book Review + Giveaway - A Bountiful Love

Wise Guys - Book Review + Giveaway

I was going into first year high school when my father died, unexpectedly. He was the only man in my life that I look up to. Growing up, there's my mom , teachers and sisters who I see as my mentors. Even though , our dad was taken away from us very early..there are a lot of things that I learned from him. Putting your family first, working hard for your loved ones and fighting for what is right to name a few.

In  today's society, growing up without a father as a result of a divorce is becoming such a norm. These such sensitive and disturbing statistic was discussed in this book. There is indeed a decline of fatherhood-- the real, present and intentional fatherhood. This book is geared towards men.  While most of my readers are women however I highly recommend that you give this book to the special man in your life.  I appreciate the strong message of the importance of having a father in a family. The author also emphasized the importance of mentors in his life--men.

Millennials today do not appreciate the value of growing up with a mentor just because we are so technologically well informed. I mean, just ask Mr Google right?  We refused to learn from other people. But learning valuable lessons from other men ( or women) who can instill wisdom in your life will greatly lead you to what God has made you to be.

For guys, more than ever, it’s a confusing world. Your GPS doesn’t offer any maps showing how to get to the point of wisdom — and who likes asking for directions anyway?
But there are ways to get that guidance you need. The answers may be all around you, in the form of guys you already know. Wise guys. More experienced guys. Better-traveled guys. Could there be ways to tap into their invaluable knowledge without enduring dull lectures or taking pages of notes?
Kent Evans has surrounded himself with these wise guys. They have shown him all the back roads on the way to wisdom. With a great deal of humor and an endless supply of stories, he wants to show you how to gather life-enriching truth from the guys in your own circle.
