A Thousand Tomorrows Review - A Bountiful Love

A Thousand Tomorrows Review

There's a new series to watch on Pureflix! A Thousand Tomorrows has action, drama, faith, and a bit of romance or love story.  I have only seen Episode 1, which gives us the background of the series. Cody Gunner (played by Colin Ford) presents exciting bull-riding action in this new series. Although Cody is considered top-class in his profession, winning the National Finals Rodeo champion three times, he still deals with some painful issues of the past.

His father, Mike (played by K.C. Clyde), was a famous quarterback player who left the family after the birth of Cody’s younger brother, Carl Joseph (played by Cole Sibus). Carl has Down syndrome. I love the relationship that still managed to keep close with his mother and brother but he has some unresolved issues with his dad. Even though Mike wants to reconcile, Cody has no intention of fixing the broken relationship.

Cody'a love interest, Ali Daniels (played by Rose Reid) is also a promising rodeo star but also faces her own struggles with Cystic Fibrosis. The first episode of A Thousand Tomorrows has themes of learning how to forgive, resiliency, love, and support for t a family member with special needs and working hard to reach your goal.  In my opinion, this series is perfect for 16 or even 18 years old and above. While there are no nudity nor sex scenes in episode 1, there is a scene that implied that sex had happened when Cody left the bar with a woman. As always, every family dynamic and values are different. You might be okay with your 12-year-old watching this or you may find it unacceptable at all costs.
