I love my Cosori Air Fryer. The only thing that I do not like about it is the size. We have a small home, so storage is always an issue BUT it being large allows me to cook bigger servings because it does have a bigger basket. I also feel like I should use it more often! I love using my air fryer for cooking french fries, bacon, and chicken. There are tons of recipes that you can do with an air fryer so hopefully, I'll be bolder in experimenting with different recipes. Air-fried chicken is simply the best most especially if it is seasoned right. I have a mouth-watering, crispy, and delicious (yes, finger-lickin' good too!) recipe for chicken legs cooked in the air-fryer and I would love for you to give it a try! Air Fry Crispy Fried Chicken involves simple ingredients plus a secret ingredient that makes it crispy on the outside but tender and tasty inside.
If you are looking for a baked roasted whole chicken recipe, this Roasted Chicken recipe is a crowd-pleaser. I also love using my instant pot when I need to cook a whole chicken. When I just need the whole chicken as a meal prep ingredient for several meals, I just season it and cook it accordingly. But when I cook a chicken as a main meal, this Instant Pot Whole Chicken Recipe is a favorite. It has crunchy skin and flavorful meat. If you are curious about how I make the whole chicken crunchy on the outside, try the recipe and I promise you that it will be one of your favorites too.
Here's another great recipe that uses cornflakes crumbs! This cornflakes chicken is cooked in the air-fryer as well. It also involves ingredients that are probably in your pantry already. I love that it did not heat up my whole kitchen as compared to cooking chicken in the oven. This air-fried cornflakes chicken leg will for sure land into your favorite food rotation.
Ingredients:
10 chicken drumsticks
1 1/2 cup plain cornflakes
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp cajun seasoning
1 egg
1 tbsp water
cooking oil
Directions:
Using your food processor, process your corn flakes. You can also place the cornflakes inside a Ziploc bag and crush them using a rolling pin. Transfer the crushed cornflakes to a bowl or deep plate.
In a separate bowl, mix all the seasoning ingredients, from garlic powder to the cajun seasoning. Mix the seasonings with the crushed cornflakes. In another bowl, beat the eggs and add 1 tbsp of water.
Dip the chicken legs into the egg mixture then roll it to the crushed cornflake mixture.
Press the cornflake breading into the chicken leg so all of it is covered by the breading.
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
I lined the basket of my air fryer with foil for easy cleanup and sprayed it with nonstick cooking spray. Place the chicken legs inside the basket and spray the top with nonstick cooking spray. I used my air fryer's fried chicken setting which is 375 degrees for 25 mins. I had to adjust this temperature and time with my next batch. I found that this setting brown the breading too much.
For the next batch, I cooked the air fryer chicken for 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Use a meat thermometer if you want t check doneness. The internal temperature of the chicken should be 165 degrees.
