Heart Rice Krispies - A Bountiful Love

Heart Rice Krispies

I've never met a kid who doesn't like rice Krispies. It is one of the easiest sweet treats that you can make in a jiffy. It only involves very few ingredients. I decided to add a little bit of vanilla but you can always skip it and just stick to your 3 ingredient rice Krispies-- Rice Krispie cereal, marshmallows, and butter. If you don't mind your hand getting sticky, this is such a treat and a fun experience for kids too! Involve them in making and watch them enjoy with such delight.

Ingredients:

6 cups, rice Krispie cereal
5 tbsp butter
8 cups, of mini marshmallows
1 teaspoon, vanilla extract

optional: red candy melts and sprinkles of your choice.

Directions:

Spray a 9x9 glass dish or any pan that you have with non-stick spray, and set aside.
In a large pot, over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Once the butter is melted add the mini marshmallows. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Stir constantly until the marshmallows are melted. Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispie. Mix until the Rice Krispies are well coated with the marshmallow mixture. Turn the stove off and put the Rice Krispies in your prepared pan ( sprayed with nonstick). Press evenly and let it cool.

I used two heart-shaped cookie cutters, one larger size and a small one.

Perfectly cute!

Melt your candy melts according to package instructions.

Using a spoon, drizzle your cut-out rice krispie hearts with the red candy coating. It doesn't have to be perfect.

While the drizzle is still wet, sprinkle the hearts with your favorite sprinkles.

Let it dry.

Simple and yet it is made with love. You can drizzle it with milk chocolate too!

How cute are these? Place it in cute boxes and I'm sure it will make your Valentine smile.
