Do you know the difference between a soup, a chowder, a bisque, and a stew?
A STEW is a thick dish that has meat and vegetables or just vegetables. The thick liquid from the stew is the result of stewing liquid combined with the natural juices of the meat and vegetables being stewed.
A SOUP is any combination of vegetables, fruit, meat or fish cooked in any form of liquid (ex. broth or tomato sauce with a thinner consistency.
A CHOWDER is a thick, chunky and rich soup.
