Chocolate Pancakes

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 large eggs
3 1/2  tbsp oil
2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar

Toppings of your choice : fruits , walnuts or chocolate chips

See here for the Caramel Sauce :   Easy Homemade Caramel Sauce

Directions:

In a medium size bowl , Combine the white sugar and the cocoa powder.

Mix in the brown sugar , baking soda , salt and flour. Whisk it all together.

In a separate bowl , combine buttermilk , eggs , oil and vanilla. Whisk it together.

Make a well on your flour mix and pour in your buttermilk mixture. Mix well but do not over mix.

Add a pat of butter to your pan or griddle . Heat to medium-low. Scoop about 1/4 cup of the chocolate pancake batter onto your heated pan. Cook until bubble appears on top and flip the pancake. Cook for additional 2 minutes or until it is cook through.

With the topping of your choice on top of the stack of pancakes, drizzle it homemade caramel sauce..

It is fluffy..and delicious!

You can cook these pancakes in a big batch , it will save you time and sanity..specially on those days where you have tiny ones that tugs into your pant leg so early in the morning because they want pancakes. REALLY. BAD.

I would love to connect with you!
