Thanksgiving Day Activities - A Bountiful Love

Thanksgiving Day Activities

Free printables! What's not to love? I love downloading free resources from other bloggers and seeing their creativity. I can't even begin to tell how many free printables I have printed during our homeschool days and craft days. Even though some sell their printables, it is always priced reasonable and you get your money's worth. Aside from finding free resources to print, I also love making my own printables. I do sell some printables (Etsy) but I always prioritize creating free resources for parents.

If you are new here, I'm sure you have noticed that I keep my introduction short (the majority of the time). Most especially when I am sharing recipes. First, I know how it feels...those busy weeknights when you just want to get to the recipe and not read about the blogger's escapades or adventures. Second, I know why you have visited my blog and would not want to read content that is not entirely related to the resources that you wanted to access. You may have seen my post from a Pinterest Pin, I am positive that you will want to read the article or resources that had caught your eye on Pinterest.

Speaking of free here's another set of fun printable for Thanksgiving. In case you missed it, I shared a free Thanksgiving Day Menu Planner. Absolutely free to print and no strings attached (you do not have to subscribe to my blog to grab this printable). Like always, all I ask is that if you want to share this to any social media platform, please share this direct post link and not just the printable.

We are 9 days away from Thanksgiving and I am always thinking of fun activities for my kiddos. Last Halloween, we played a Trivia game. We have small prizes, followed by a family movie night. This printable is fun for little ones and older kids as well (I'm thinking Kinder to 5th grade). If you have preschool-age children, they can also color and draw on the Thankful Turkey printable.

For Thankful Turkey, have your kids write six things that they are grateful for. Write them on the tail feathers. For the little ones that are not ready for handwriting, they can still join! You can write it for them or just have a fun conversation. Asking them what they are thankful for is such a great table discussion. You can also have them cut Thankful Turkey and use it as a table decoration pieces for Thanksgiving dinner.

Pin the Hat on Turkey game is a fun and interactive game for kids...well...grown-ups too! I highly suggest that you print them on cardstock and laminate if there are several kids playing. You can also re-use the game next year if you choose to laminate. All you have to do is to attach the turkey image on a wall (you can secure with tape) and cut as many hats as you wish or need. You can use tape on the hats or push pins (older kids or grown-ups)/ The players will need to place the hat as close as possible to the turkey's head blindfolded. The one who places the hat the closest wins!
