Two Must Have Books for Your Easter Basket - A Bountiful Love

Two Must Have Books for Your Easter Basket

Valentine's is over and more fun, exciting holidays and events are coming up. March 2 is Dr. Seuss's birthday, March 17 is St. Patrick's Day and March 25 marks the beginning of holy week. April 1, believe it or not, is one of our kid's favorite holiday (aside from Christmas of course!). Every Easter we are getting good at staying away from filling their baskets with candies. I have nothing against candies Y'all, however, with all the candies they get from Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day, I think we earned the right to limit the sweets.

We love putting books, stickers, and inexpensive toys in their baskets. You can read this post, 40 Non-Candy Easter Egg Fillers  if you are looking for ideas that do not involve candies. I also shared my Top 6 Bibles that you can put into your child's baskets. I am sharing a couple of books that we got from WorthyKids to review. These two books are definitely as must-have books in your Easter Baskets.

That Grand Easter Day
by Jill Roman Lord
Illustrated by Alessia Trunfio
Ages: 5-8 years old
Format: Hardcover, 32 pages
Do you remember the rhyme, "The House that Jack Built"?  This book has the same tempo that will surely grab and engage your little one. I love that the other aspects of the Easter story had a spotlight like the stone and the bunny.

"The stone that blocked the way..that led to the place where Jesus first lay... "

The book starts and ends with a Bible passage. The last page was our favorite, it speaks truth.

Sunrise, Easter Surprise
by: Hannah Hall
Illustrated by AG Jatkowska
Ages: 5-8 years old
Format: Boardbook, 20 pages

A fun and colorful way to share the message of Easter from the unfamiliar witnesses- the sun, flowers and animal. Your toddler and your preschooer will surely be excited to turn every page! Even our eight years old enjoyed reading this book. After all, the Easter story is the most magnificent story of all aside from Jesus's birth,
