In our household, we love the movies "Under The Sea" and "Finding Nemo". Our girls pretty much enjoy any under the sea themes. I was delighted to get a copy of Under The Sea Holy Bible ( New International Readers Version) to review and give a copy to one of my readers.

It definitely caught and wowed our 6 years old daughter's eye. This Bible is designed for ages 6 to 10 , however I felt that it is more likely geared towards an older age.  The pages of this Bible are similar to an adults bible and maybe it's just our 6 yr old but I just don't think that the pages are sturdy enough for her hand.

I love the highlight devotional pages in the Bible.  The pages are very colorful and have the ocean theme. Having said that, some children may expect the whole ocean theme in the Bible. This Under The Sea Holy Bible does not deliver that. Which really is not a big deal. Besides, the content is what's important.

1.Books of the Bible , which is divided into categories. I find this page very useful most especially if you are teaching the books of the Bible to your child.
2.A Prayer is..  A page that teaches children how and who to pray for. LOVE this too!
3.The Lord's Prayer. I think it is never too early to teach our kids this great and powerful prayer.

4.Ten Commandments for Kids , A page that enumerates the Lord's commandments but presented in such a way that is not too overwhelming for young minds.
5.Love Passages for Kids, A page based on 1 Corinthians 13
6.Famous children in the Bible, This is awesome because kids just like adults need Biblical inspirations too.
7.ABC's of a Christian, A page about being a follower of Christ with some Bible verses as a guide.


   Even though the whole ocean theme is not all over this Bible, it is not a deal breaker for me. What is important is how we teach His Word to our kids. How we connect to our kids during devotional or Bible time.
