You can find the Dinosaur theme tracing sheets here : Confessions of a Homeschooler ( please read her terms with printing her free printables , it is for personal use only and it can not be use for monetary purposes).
Why practice your child's tracing skills?
To teach our young ones to write , pre writing skills are necessary. It helps develop their fine motor skill, the correct way to hold a pencil and how to use a good, firm grip. Tracing enhances development of hand/eye coordination.
We used our LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Alphabet Set , so she could hear and practice the phonetic sound of the letter D again. Kids loves buttons right? Any buttons that produces sound and music is fun for them.

To practice her fine motor skills, we did a cut and paste activity. I wrote both upper and lower case D on a clean sheet of paper. Then , I cut small strips of old magazines for her to cut into small squares . She then paste all the small square pieces of paper on to the paper forming a collage of letter D. Make sure to use a Child-Safe Scissor Set.

Find things around your house or cut some pictures of objects that starts with the letter D . I read each of the words and pointed out the object while reading it to her. I made her repeat the word after me.
Since she loves doing games . I shuffled all the words and asked her to match it with the object. She got it all right and gave her a sticker for a prize.

We've been using these glass beads from the dollar store, We also count while we put the glass bead on each slot. If your child would enjoy magnet pieces instead , use Officeship 100 Pieces Power Magnets, 3/4 inch Diameter, Assorted Colors and a cookie sheet ( from a dollar store would work perfect).

We also did COLOR BY LETTERS ACTIVITY and CONNECT THE DOTS ACTIVITY.
COLOR BY ACTIVITY , or just giving little kids pages to color is a fun way to also practice their fine motor skills. It allows them to be creative and I think it greatly helps with enhancing their focus or attention span with a given task.

CONNECT THE DOTS ACTIVITY, teaches them number sequencing. They will have fun on seeing how the pictures on the page
