Smothered Meatballs

If you are looking for a tasty and yet simple meatball recipe , this is perfect for you! You can use frozen meatballs or homemade. Whatever kind you would like to use, I am sure that this delicious smothered meatballs will hit the spot. If you are not a big fan of using a packet of brown gravy mix, feel free to use your homemade seasoning.

Ingredients:

1 lb  frozen meatballs
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp garlic powder
5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup chopped onions
1 packet of brown gravy mix
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1 1/3 cups water
Salt and pepper to taste

Optional : Egg noodles

Directions:

Start by heating your large skillet with olive oil and pour in your frozen meatballs. Sprinkle with the garlic powder , salt and pepper. Fry until it is thawed.

Place the meatballs on the sides of the skillet and place the onions in the middle of the skillet.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and pour in Worcestershire sauce. Turn the meatballs around, so it will be brown on all "sides".

Once the meatballs and the onions are browned , push it a little on the side. Whisk the flour on the pan drippings ( you can tilt your pan so it can collect the drippings).

In a mixing cup or bowl, mix the brown gravy , water and 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce.

Pour the gravy mixture into your meatballs. Cook on low for about 10 minutes.

Serve with egg noddles or rice.
