Nutella Oat Muffin - A Bountiful Love

Nutella Oat Muffin

I recently saw a video of how to make your own Nutella spread at home. It was easy and it looks really good.  Our girls love Nutella so I will be making that for sure very soon. I love that there a lot of recipes that you can make with Nutella. A few weeks ago, I made a Nutella popsicle.  Next time, I would be making Nutella brownies.

Here's a very easy and delicious muffin recipe.  You can substitute some ingredients for a healthier option. You can use coconut oil instead of canola. You can use honey instead of white sugar or just decrease the amount.  You can find the Nutella Popsicle recipe HERE.

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup rolled oats
2 ripe mashed bananas
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk (can use almond milk)
1/4 cup vegetable oil1
1/4 cup or less of Nutella
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray muffin tin with cooking spray or use paper liners.
In a bowl, combine all the dry ingredients. Whisk until combined.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg and add the milk, oil, vanilla extract, and the bananas.
Stir until combined.

Add the flour mixture onto your wet mixture. Stir to combine, do not over mix!

Pour the batter into your muffin tins and add a teaspoon of Nutella on each muffin butter.

Using a toothpick, slowly and gently cut and swirl the Nutella in the batter.

   Make pretty swirls.

Bake for 17 minutes, or until the toothpick comes out clean.

I'm thinking of coffee with this muffin..yum!
I love how the swirls came out pretty.

  2. These look really good. I've been reluctant to try Nutella because I'm really trying to be careful with eating bad stuff! It looks dangerous if you know what I mean. And my husband doesn't need it either.
