Toddler Approved Alphabet Soup

Sometimes it's hard to decipher toddlers appetite. There are days where they couldn't get enough of that special meal you serve them and there are days where they won't even dare to open their mouths. Here's a simple and healthy Alphabet soup that is a toddler approved!

Ingredients:

6 cups Homemade Chicken broth ( or use low sodium canned broth)
2 medium size carrots, diced
1 cup alphabet pasta
2 cups frozen peas
Salt and pepper
optional: small pieces of cooked chicken ( if you made the broth at home, add in small shredded pieces of chicken)

Directions:

Bring the broth ( and the shredded chicken if using) into a boil using a large saucepan. Add the carrots, pasta, and  season with ¼ teaspoon  of salt and pepper. Simmer until the carrots and pasta are tender. Stir in the peas and cook until heated through.

Toddler approved! Both of our girls enjoyed looking for letters.
