Easy Homemade Caramel Sauce - A Bountiful Love

Easy Homemade Caramel Sauce

Ice cream bar..just thinking of it makes me smile. I love pistachio and red velvet ice cream. EQUALLY. I do enjoy a plain vanilla ice cream with a wide array of different toppings or syrups. This homemade caramel sauce is very easy to make, it is not just a perfect match on vanilla ice cream but also a great combo with apples too!

We have drizzled this sauce over Chocolate Pancakes, Caramel Heath Cupcakes (YUM!), Caramel Apple Muffins, and brownies. The recipe below involves only 4 ingredients that you may already have in your pantry.

Ingredients:

14 oz can sweetened/condensed milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
4 tbsp butter ---> had a brain fart and I forgot to add this  BUT it still tasted really good without the butter.

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat. Stir it continuously until the brown sugar melts and desired consistency is reached. Do not let it burn.

Easy right?

Add kosher or sea salt on top.

Enjoy that goodness!
