Faith-filled Gifts and Stocking Stuffers - A Bountiful Love

Faith-filled Gifts and Stocking Stuffers

Ten more days and its Christmas time! It is true that your view of Christmas changes when you have kids and as you get older, it becomes more different. We "want" less and less. My view of Christmas dramatically changed when I became a Christian. Realizing how much God loves all of us as He sent His only Son to save us. The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and His death is the complete epitome of God's unconditional love.

It is sad that there are a lot of people walking around not knowing what the true meaning of Christmas is. We get so wrapped up with the busyness of this season. You see it on the freeway, people are always rushing to their destination to the point of putting other drivers and themselves at risk of accidents. I see it in the stores, people can be so grumpy! And at times, inconsiderate of the holiday workers that worked so hard to clean and organize a store.  We went to Children's Place in the mall near us. It is just a small one but what a horrible surprise it was when we walked into the store. There were a lot of clothes on the floor! I imagine store clerks painstakingly folding all the display of clothes and how irritating it can be that customers can be so inconsiderate. Christmas is not just about shopping and gifting things. We can give the gift of kindness, the gift of patience, the gift of understanding and acceptance. How about the gift of time and serving? I am not just talking about serving only in the context of the church. Serving your hurting family and friends by being there for them, bringing them meals or helping a mom who just recently gave birth. There are a lot of ways if we only think and reflect.

This is why most of us, prefer to shop at locally owned small shops, online shopping, and shopping way too early (even throughout the year). I am all of the above. If I had to walk into a big box store or any shopping strip, I make sure I get there early.  Speaking of early, I am so proud of myself for being organized this year. I planned my gifts and decided to keep it simple. I am officially done with Christmas shopping. Speaking of shopping, if you are still looking for ideas...I am sharing a list below PLUS sharing the release of DVD Overcomer for those of you who have not seen the movie yet.

BIBLE TABS

How cute are these DiverseBee laminated tabs? These are from Amazon, but you can also find laminated tabs at Etsy.

KEYCHAINS

This cute keychain is from Selah Christian Store. You can find it HERE.

INSPIRATIONAL COASTERS

This set of coasters are from Amazon for $14.99

DEVOTIONALS

I love receiving and giving devotionals. It is a gift that keeps on giving. This devotional is from Amazon for $9.73. What I love about it is that it is also a journal. I can not stress it enough how journaling can change your life. Specifically a prayer journal. It is your private conversations with God. It is amazing at times to read all of my past prayer requests for myself, family, and friends. The answered ones and the ones God is still working on.

JEWELRY

I love simple jewelry, especially the ones that are inspirational and faith-filled. Of course, nothing beats soaking yourself into the Bible but I see jewelry as small snippets of reminders. I personally love Elevated Faith. I am subscribed to their monthly sticker club. My girls and I are into decorating our water bottles (and my laptop) with faith-filled stickers and local coffee shop stickers that we love. They also have quite a few cute rings and bracelets. Did I mention a bracelet club? This rng is called highs and lows. A great reminder that God is greater than our highs and lows.

DVD's

I know what you're thinking? Who keeps a DVD when there are tons of streaming channels nowadays. I still do and I still love gifting friends and family with DVD. Speaking of DVD, if you did not get the chance to watch the movie or have watched it and was absolutely touched by it...OVERCOMER DVD and Blu-Ray is coming out this Tuesday, December 16.
