14 Ways to Show Husband your Love

1. Pray for him.  He needs guidance too, there might be some issues or things that is pressing on him lately. Thank God for what a wonderful husband He blessed you with.

2. Skip some chores and enjoy cuddle time with him. Watch your favorite TV shows together.  If he is into that gas monkey show even if you totally don't get the fascination with cars, vintage cars , dismantling cars, painting cars.. all about cars.  I'm sure he doesn't get your fascination with 19 kids and Counting or American Idol either .

3. Cook that bacon. It is his best friend. It is included in his basic food group. Bacon is every man's love language.

4. Stop complaining.  They hear us y'all. They know what we go through as moms and wives. Whether they do something "about it" or not..A little change is really nice.

5. Offer a beer , coffee or tea after a long day's work .

6. Give him space. ( a space in the bathroom too)

7. Switch roles for a day -- Fill up his tank or take the garbage out.. I know..I know ..of all the things you do in the house. Again, this is about showing him your love (without expecting any favor in return)

8. Email , text  or leave him a sweet note on his lunchbox. Remind him how much you love and adore him. Tell him how hot he is and you can't wait till he comes home. (wink..wink)

9. Make his favorite meal. Cook that bacon.

10. Play together. Do something you enjoy doing together . It might be puzzles , play sports..whatever. Be young at heart..its good for relationships. Be silly together.

11. Remember your dating days..  before you had kids or before you got made you smile didn't it?

12. Flirt with him. It is how you got here in the first place.

13. Don't nag. period.

14. Take it to the bedroom. Enough said.

Valentine's Day Wreath Craft for Toddlers & Preschoolers

What other way to teach your kids about Valentine's Day than to do crafts with them. Jumping bean is 22 months old and the big sister is 4 yrs old. They love to color and make "stuff".

This is really fun to do and cheap.

You'll need:

Paper plates or an empty cereal box.
Cut out hearts (construction papers , different colors).
Cat template - free from DLTK Growing together
Scissors and Paste
Crayons, Markers

Start out by tracing a small plate onto the paper plate , then cutting it to make the wreath.

Let your little ones color the cat templates.

Print here : DLTK growing home

Supervise your kids with the cutting part . Paste the cat cut outs on top of the wreath.

Our ever happy jumping bean, she is feeling a little under the weather but wouldn't miss a crafting fun with mom and sister.

Paste the heart cut outs around the wreath.

Remember that there is no right or wrong way in doing crafts or activity with our kids. Everything is a learning opportunity for them . It will be messy and sticky , I am not a big fan of the clean up part either but time enjoyed together is worth it.

It was fun, we made three wreaths! and it is proudly displayed in our humble home.

I would love to connect with you!

Mexican Pizza

Hubby and I loves Mexican food. I Love spicy food , him ? not as much. Our favorite Mexican joint is Alberto's ! I tell you what, we are just in love with their rolled tacos and chimichanga plate. A guilty pleasure indeed.

Since we love Mexican dishes . I do try to make some here at home. Not only that "eating in" and limiting your eating out saves you tons of money , homemade is always the best. Besides , limiting your dining out experiences will make it just more special.

Ingredients :

1/2 lb of ground turkey
2 minced garlic cloves
1/2 cup diced onion
1 tbsp of Taco seasoning or use  HOMEMADE TACO SEASONING
1/2 cup salsa , jar or homemade
2 cups Mexican blend shredded cheese or cheddar cheese
10 flour tortillas
topping of your choice : I used black olives , green onions and fresh tomato.
you can add some hot sauce too , I skipped this. ( because of our kiddos )

*** I made 5 Mexican pizza.

Preheat your oven to 350 deg.  Prepare your onions and garlic

In a skillet , place the ground turkey , onions and garlic.Cook until meat is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.

Put the meat mixture back into  the stove , medium heat. Add in the taco seasoning. I used homemade.

Mix thoroughly..

In a parchment lined cookie sheet or tray , Place two tortillas side by side. Spread refried beans on top of each tortilla ,

followed by the seasoned ground turkey..

cover each of the tortilla with another layer of tortilla.. Bake for 10 minutes

Cool slightly , Spread salsa on top of it..

your toppings..

chopped tomatoes , olives and green onions.

Put the pizza back in the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes or until the cheese melts.

Let it cool, and cut it into serving sizes.

It is so delicious , and I promised you that is yummier than that famous taco selling  fast food place.

As for Alberto's , I am not going to attempt your rolled tacos and chimichanga plates , you will remain a guilty pleasure and a  " fridate" night craving.

I would love to connect with you!
